With great enthusiasm, the Punta Ala Trail Center is proud to announce the laying of the first stone of the Ciclovia Tirrenica in the section under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Castiglione della Pescaia. This event marks a first step towards the realization of a historic project in the Italian cycling landscape, strategic for the integrated development of mobility and sustainable tourism.
The overall route of the Ciclovia Tirrenica is about 1,200 kilometers and will allow connecting the Italian and French Rivieras with a single cycling route through 3 regions: Lazio, Tuscany, and Liguria.
This first stretch, 714 meters long and realized by the Punta Ala Camp & Resort, extends in one of the most suggestive locations of the Tyrrhenian coast and is the result of our vision that always pushes us to be among the first to recognize and support initiatives that bring innovation and connection through cycling, promoting the development of products and projects in favor of an active and sustainable lifestyle.
The project also arises from joint efforts with institutions and aims to connect the bike paths of the neighboring municipalities of Castiglione della Pescaia, Scarlino, and Grosseto, thus creating a vast bicycle network that will facilitate the exploration of the natural and cultural beauties of the Maremma territory.
This cycle path represents a significant investment not only in infrastructure but also in the well-being of our local community. Our goal is to transform the way people see and experience cycling, making our resort not just a stopover but also a crucial connection point to the Tyrrhenian Cycle Path. We believe this can become a model of how cycling and sustainable tourism contribute to regional economic development,’ says Thomas A. Daddi, owner of PuntAla Camp & Resort and promoter of the project.
We therefore invite everyone to participate in this inaugural event to be held in Punta Ala (PuntAla Camp&Resort area) on Wednesday, April 17th at 10:00 AM.
Let’s write another chapter of this national project for cycling and sustainable tourism in Italy together.
We look forward to seeing you
