September 27–28, 2025: two days of gravel riding, one night by the sea, and the stop at PuntAla Camp & Resort becomes an integral part of the adventure

Dust rising from white roads, rolling hills opening at sunset, the distant outline of the sea. Fiorino Mud returns on September 27–28, 2025, bringing back the true essence of gravel and bikepacking: a real journey, powered by legs, exploration, and freedom, across Valdarno and the Maremma.

The 2025 edition features a two-stage loop, starting and finishing at hu Norcenni Girasole Village, with an overnight stop at PuntAla Camp & Resort after day 1: roughly 400 km in total — including a solid 275 km of unpaved roads — and over 6,500 metres of elevation gain, crossing some of Tuscany’s most captivating landscapes in the saddle.

Fiorino Mud isn’t a race: : there are no arrows, no checkpoints, no fixed stages. Riders follow a detailed GPX track that highlights water points, food stops, and scenic viewpoints, leaving everyone free to manage their own rhythm and decide when to pause. The spirit is all about exploration and personal challenge, but for those who enjoy comparisons, riding times are still recorded and published — a way to measure yourself against past editions, or simply against your own limits.

Roll out at dawn on Saturday, heading for the coast through the Chianti, the Val d’Orcia, and the hills of Grosseto. And for the first time, luggage transfer is included: you ride light, no worries, focused only on the route and the emotions it brings. The update that changes the weekend’s rhythm this year is that the stop at PuntAla Camp & Resort is no longer an “on-the-go” option but becomes an integral part of the format. You arrive after day one’s effort and reset in the pine forest: Ferrino tents already pitched with camp cots, hot showers, a food area, charging points, and mechanical support. A convivial evening a few metres from the sea, to swap stories, tune the bike, and recharge the batteries. On Sunday morning everyone sets off together, closing the loop back to the start.

Entry is open to gravel, MTB, and e-bikes. What matters is an adventurous mindset, the right kit — navigation device, lights, repair kit, power bank, technical apparel — and the desire to pedal for hours immersed in nature. The scenery keeps changing: from white roads among Chianti’s vineyards to the forests of the Val d’Orcia, all the way to the pinewoods and beaches of the Maremma, along the backroads of the provinces of Florence, Arezzo, Siena, and Grosseto.

Punta Ala Trail Center, a partner of the event since the very first edition in 2021, confirms its support again this year.

We have supported Fiorino Mud since the very first edition because it reflects the kind of cycling we believe in and want to promote — not just performance, but a journey of discovery and connection with the territory. For us, this is the true essence of outdoor tourism: an experience that brings together passion, nature, and hospitality. We are especially pleased that from this year the stop at PuntAla Camp & Resort becomes an integral part of the adventure,” says Thomas Andrew Daddi, President of Punta Ala Trail Center and owner of PuntAla Camp & Resort.
