It’s time to shift gears and pedal towards a sustainable future!
On Wednesday, April 17th, the foundation stone of the Ciclovia Tirrenica was laid within the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Castiglione della Pescaia near the PuntAla Camp & Resort.
This first section of about 700 meters, primarily thanks to the will and commitment of PuntAla Camp&Resort, extends right in front of our Punta Ala Trail Center. The center will be available to all cyclists who wish to stop here for assistance, receive advice on various route options in the area, use the meeting point, or simply take a break.
Here’s what our President, Thomas A. Daddi, visibly moved, said right after the inauguration ceremony:

“This bike path represents for me a dream come true, a dream that has its roots back in 2003 when I started my activity in this facility. Already at that time, there was discussion of an external public linear infrastructure that would allow easy passage through this area.
The realization of this project was possible thanks to the collaboration between the public and private sectors, and we seized the opportunity to complete it as soon as the conditions allowed. This, always in strict compliance with the directives provided by the Superintendence of Castiglione della Pescaia.
I hope that the first 700 meters of this bike path will not only serve as an example but also as a stimulus for the completion of the subsequent phases of the project. The vision of this completed work strengthens our determination to continue in the path of enhancing the territory and its tourist use.”
