On Sunday May 7 we co-hosted the Toscano Enduro Series race in our neighboring town of Castiglione della Pescaia – another hotspot for fantastic mountain biking just 10 minutes’ drive from Punta Ala Trail Center accommodation.
As well as a large number of riders competing across the enduro categories, there were also around 30 e-bikes racing hard for the assisted riding title. Giant Bicycles’ Paolo Viola was visiting the brand’s new partner resort (that’s Punta Ala Trail Center!) and was on the entry list himself. Check out the video above for some images of the stunning scenery, sublime trails and the e-competition.
From rocky, technical singletrack in the trees, to steep twists and turns, and not forgetting the panoramas over the crystal-clear sea below, the race’s stages took in just about every terrain one could wish for and ended right back on the shore of the Mediterranean. A great day was had by all and we have to thank the TES organisation for putting together such fun races.
