That’s when registration officially opens for Unpaved Roads Punta Ala, the first big gravel event of the 2025 season, taking place on April 26-27. If you love riding at your own pace, discovering stunning hidden corners of Maremma Toscana, be ready—spots will go fast, especially with the long holiday weekend!
Unpaved Roads Punta Ala isn’t just a cycling event; it’s a journey through rolling Tuscan hills, endless strade bianche, and an unspoiled coastline. It’s an adventure to be shared with hundreds of like-minded riders, experiencing unforgettable moments in a setting where nature and tradition merge, every pedal stroke unlocking breathtaking views and the thrill of an epic ride.
A New, Tested, and Improved Route
For this third edition, the organizers—known for their obsessive attention to detail—have redesigned the course to make it even more spectacular, scenic, and fun. Every section has been thoroughly tested multiple times by the Unpaved Roads team, led by the expertise of Peppe Esposto, through countless recon rides to ensure the flawless experience Unpaved Roads is known for.
We can’t reveal everything just yet, but expect to ride through incredible spots like Scarlino, Caldana, Castiglione della Pescaia, and the must-see Riserva Naturale di Daccia Botrona. And of course, the legendary coastal stretches with jaw-dropping sea views and the Tuscan Archipelago as your backdrop—Cala Violina, just to name one.
New Features for This Edition
Alongside the main route, riders will have access to three bonus tracks to tackle at their own pace—perfect for those who just can’t get enough and want to explore even more hidden gems of this spectacular region.
To make the most of the experience, participants will also receive a custom travel guide, the ultimate companion for the journey. Packed with insider tips, it includes must-visit locations, top restaurant recommendations (handpicked by the organizers), local history, and much more to enrich your adventure.
Adding to the excitement, the PuntAla Camp & Resort will open exclusively for the event, providing the perfect base for an unforgettable weekend. And if you don’t have a bike—no worries! You can rent a gravel, MTB, or e-bike directly at the Punta Ala Trail Center, which also offers secure bike storage, a fully equipped workshop, and a bike wash area to keep your ride in top shape throughout the event.
