On September 21st and 22nd, 2024, the fourth edition of the Fiorino Mud 400 returns, a gravel bikepacking experience that will test the mental determination and physical endurance of its participants. The 400 km loop, with a positive elevation gain of 6500m, will take them through the enchanting white roads of the Tuscan countryside, offering the opportunity to discover hidden corners of one of the most beautiful regions in Italy.
This new route, carefully selected after numerous reconnaissance trips by the organizers, perfectly combines adventure and relaxation in the heart of the Maremma, crossing the provinces of Florence, Arezzo, Siena, and Grosseto.
The Fiorino Mud 400 is not a race, but an opportunity to explore the territory and challenge your limits. Participants will have 40 hours to complete the provided GPS track, with an early morning start from Figline Valdarno, a mid-route stop at PuntAla Camp & Resort, and a return to Figline Valdarno. They will be monitored via a web app, and to complete the adventure, they must follow the route in its entirety. At the end, a completion order will be drawn up based on the time taken, allowing everyone to compare their results with past editions and their own personal limits.
PuntAla Camp & Resort will be the ideal stop along the route. Here, participants will find refreshments, showers, technical assistance at our Punta Ala Trail Center shop, and a rest area. During the break, they will have access to a charming Berber tent with pre-set Ferrino tents, ready for a night under the stars, using their own sleeping bag and mat.
