The GRINDURO route (100km / 62 miles, 1,500m+ elevation) offers an excellent balance between dirt and tarmac. Out of a total of 100km, no less than 56km are off-road, over hard-packet dirt and single track sections, never overly technical or with impossible gradients. The remaining distance is pretty much all on minor, low-traffic roads in the Maremma country side, a real pleasure for the body and the mind.
The maximum elevation (490m above sea level) will be reached about 60km in, going up the slopes of Monte Arsenti

Here are the GRINDURO stage details:

Stage 1 La Zinghera Hill Climb ~ km10 | 2.8km / +160m

Stage 2 Marsiliana Down Hill ~ km67 | 3.7km / -140m

Stage 3 Montioni Jungle Singletrack ~ km74 | 3.8km / +70m -80m

Stage 4 Le Api Downcountry ~ km96 | 1.7km / -20m -30m

The GRINDURITO ride  (65 km / 40 miles, 750m+ elevation) will pass through two non-timed special stages (1-4).
At Grinduro Italia, for the first time in the series, e-bikes will be allowed. The EBIKE CATEGORY will offer a sociable untimed ride following the Grindurito course.

GRINDURO / GRINDURITO COURSE SPLIT

All Grinduro and Grindurito riders start together (with a gap of 10min), but the course split comes quick at km 42. At this point Grindurito riders will make a right turn to ride back to the Resort, and Grinduro riders will ride on to Massa Marittima. Keep your head up and make sure you end up on the correct route!

RESULTS

Live results will be available as timing chips are turned in at the end of your ride. Results will be displayed on a monitor at the timing tent near the start/finish arch.

SCHWALBE SHAKEDOWN RIDE & PROLOGUE STAGE

The Schwalbe Shakedown Ride & Prologue Stage is open to ride anytime on Friday from 5:45pm – 6:45pm, with a podium for overall Male, Female, and Open Gender stage winners Friday at 7:30pm at the Beach Bar. You must complete packet pickup and get your timing chip before your ride. You will activate your chip at the stage start and must return to the timing tent by 6:45pm to dip your chip to be included in overall results. This is an optional ride and will not be counted towards Saturday’s results.
